TRISH HYATT & WORKING EQUITATION SIMPLIFIED PRESENT
Five days, three obstacles, and you'll leave with a few real things to work on that are exactly what your horse needs.
Starts August 1.

If This Is You
You like it. Working on your horse's skills alongside folks who get it, someone there who can actually help, a bit of company in the arena. It's good for you and it's good for your horse.
It's just hard to come by. The time to get there. The money once you add it all up. And an event close enough, at the right level, that's actually worth the trip.
So you end up doing most of it on your own. Which is fine. But it isn't the same.
What This Is
Five days, three obstacles, the Double Slalom, the Gate, and the Pen. A lesson drops each day and you ride it whenever it suits you. You post what happened, I have a look, and some rides get a full written review from me that the whole group learns from.
You ride with other people again, virtually. You watch their rides, they watch yours, and everybody's pulling for everybody. Nobody who shows up gets left out.
From your own arena, on your own schedule. No hauling, no hotel, no weekend gone.
The Real Math
A clinic weekend starts at $300 just for the lessons. That's before fuel, before a stall for your horse, before a hotel for you, before the whole weekend's gone.
And you know how the first lesson usually goes. Your horse is wound up in a strange place, so the first ride is half spent just getting his brain back. You've paid for it either way.
Then you drive home with a page of notes and nobody to ask. Within a week you've forgotten 90% of it. And the day your horse does something totally different from what he did at the clinic, you're on your own to figure out what to do about it.
This is $32. Your horse is relaxed because he's in his own arena. It's a week, not a weekend. Your access stays open a month, so when something new comes up next week, you can just ask.
Everything a clinic gives you, minus the parts that make it hard.
What You Get
You've been meaning to get to a clinic. This one's already in your arena.
Double Slalom, Gate, & Pen Online Clinic
August 1st - 7th, Live
The Clinic
$32 USD
One-time.
Starts August 1. Registration closes when we start.
Who This Is For
You don't need the real obstacles and you don't need to be at any particular level. You need a horse and a place to ride.
What You'll Need
Ride the real obstacles if you've got them. Otherwise, here's the minimum list for each:
Soccer markers from Amazon are cheap and work fine.
Straight from the community, in the riders' own words.

Meet Your Guide
I've spent over 40 years working with horses. Most of that time I was the person other trainers, coaches, and vets called when something had gone wrong. The job was to figure out what the actual issue was, and fix it.
What I noticed over and over was that the problem usually wasn't the horse. It was something in the communication, the timing, or the rider's understanding of what they were actually asking for.
That's why I teach with diagnostics rather than fixed methods. So you can read your own horse, on your own, without needing someone standing beside you every ride.
Working Equitation pulls all of that together. The flatwork, the obstacles, the precision, the communication. You can't hide in Working Equitation. The obstacles tell you exactly where you are.

What Riders Are Saying
"Saying the Challenge has helped a ton is definitely an understatement!"
Brenda: "We've really enjoyed the Reverse Gate Confidence Challenge!!"
Trish: "Had you ever done a reverse gate before?"
Brenda: "We gave it a try last summer, but it ended up causing my horse a lot of anxiety and anticipation. So, saying the Challenge has helped a ton is definitely an understatement."
Brenda B.

"From anxious to confident: I improved my horse's performance!"
I knew the basics of the pen obstacle - to enter and circle both directions. I was missing was how to achieve a smooth transition at the pen entrance, maintain bend and tempo, re-enter while maintaining correct bend.
Trish broke it down into separate pieces to practice, then put together. The teaching process led me to successfully achieve my goals to fine-tune the pen.

Thank you, Trish~it makes perfect sense now that you have explained how to work with the horse's drift, keep their trust, and get them to realize you are working together as a team.

Frequently Asked Questions
The lessons drop each day and you ride them whenever suits you. The only live pieces are the Q&A calls, and those are all recorded. Nothing about the clinic depends on you being somewhere at a set hour.
No. You'll get the most from it if you do, because that's how you get eyes on your ride, but plenty of riders just read along and work their horse. And when you do post, you control the feedback: suggestions only if you ask for them.
Then you're like most people. Three cones, a rope, and a few markers covers all three. I'll show you the setups. See the full list above.
No. The obstacles come from Working Equitation, but bend, tempo, and standing quietly when you ask are the foundation of every kind of riding.
A full 28 days, so the clinic doesn't vanish when the week ends. You can keep working through it, and keep building on it in the community, all month.
