Trish Hyatt & Working Equitation Simplified Present:
5 days to see what's actually missing, start fixing what matters most, and walk away with a clear plan for your horse.

The Slalom, Reinback, Sidepass Diagnostic Challenge.
5 days, 4 live Q&As, video feedback, ongoing access.
Riding or leading. Starts June 1.
The Problem
You ride the slalom. You work on your reinback. You practice the sidepass. You think you're improving… and sometimes you can feel that you are, but you're not always sure what's working, what isn't, or what to focus on next.
It's not that you're not trying. It's that you're guessing.
The Solution
This week you'll ride a single pattern that pulls together five things your horse has to be capable of.
On camera. Once a day. No drilling. No re-takes.
Ready to see what's actually happening with your horse?
Who This Is For
What You'll Come Away With
How the 5 Days Work
Day 1
First training drops. I walk you through the pattern. You ride (or lead) and film your first attempt.
Day 2
Live Q&A. We dig into the slalom. What it's actually testing. What to look for in your own video.
Day 3
Second training drops. The pattern flips and the reinback shifts to the Bonus dressage version of the same skill. Live Q&A.
Day 4
Q&A on the sidepass and the hidden transitions, the ones you didn't realize were being tested.
Day 5
Final Q&A. We pull the diagnostic together. What did your pattern actually reveal? What's your priority?
Day 6
Final day for video feedback.
Day 7
Community wraps up. Last chance to catch up on the comments.

Meet Your Guide
I've spent over 40 years working with horses. Most of that time I was the person other trainers, coaches, and vets called when something had gone wrong. The job was to figure out what the actual issue was, and fix it.
What I noticed over and over was that the problem usually wasn't the horse. It was something in the communication, the timing, or the rider's understanding of what they were actually asking for.
That's why I teach with diagnostics rather than fixed methods. So you can read your own horse, on your own, without needing someone standing beside you every ride.
Working Equitation pulled all of that together.
The flatwork, the obstacles, the precision, the communication. And the honesty of it.
You can't hide in Working Equitation. The obstacles tell you exactly where things are.

What Riders Are Saying
"Saying the Challenge has helped a ton is definitely an understatement!"
Brenda: "We've really enjoyed the Reverse Gate Confidence Challenge!!"
Trish: "Had you ever done a reverse gate before?"
Brenda: "We gave it a try last summer, but it ended up causing my horse a lot of anxiety and anticipation. So, saying the Challenge has helped a ton is definitely an understatement."
Brenda B.

"From anxious to confident: I improved my horse's performance!"
I knew the basics of the pen obstacle - to enter and circle both directions. I was missing was how to achieve a smooth transition at the pen entrance, maintain bend and tempo, re-enter while maintaining correct bend.
Trish broke it down into separate pieces to practice, then put together. The teaching process led me to successfully achieve my goals to fine-tune the pen.

Thank you, Trish~it makes perfect sense now that you have explained how to work with the horse's drift, keep their trust, and get them to realize you are working together as a team.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The pattern is ridden at whatever level your horse is at right now. That's the point. Some riders will trot the slalom. Some will walk it. Some will step cleanly along the full sidepass pole, others will walk over the rail. Both are valid. We're not comparing horses. We're seeing yours.
Yes. There's a groundwork variation of the pattern, included. It uses the same diagnostic structure, designed to fit inside a 50' round pen.
Absolutely. All Q&As are recorded and you keep access. You can also submit questions in advance.
You just need 3 to 5 cones or posts for the slalom and 3 ground poles for the reinback corridor and sidepass rail. That's it.
I'll comment on as many submissions as I can throughout the week so everyone gets the opportunity to learn from them. There will also be mentorship opportunities discussed on Day 4.
Spaces are limited. My Rider's Success Circle and Working Equitation Success Track members get this included, so public seats are capped by what's left after they sign up, based on my available time to give quality feedback.
See what's missing. Fix what matters most.

How It Works
I get it—most online challenges are free. But this one isn’t just another challenge and here's how that benefits you.
1️⃣ Skin in the Game = Real Progress
- Free challenges often lead to low commitment—people sign up and never follow through.
- A small investment means you’re serious about showing up, applying what you learn, and making real progress with your horse.
2️⃣ Personalized Support & Direct Feedback
- Unlike free challenges where you’re left on your own, this one includes direct interaction, guidance, and feedback to help you get the most out of it.
- You’ll have the chance to get YOUR questions answered—not just generic advice.
3️⃣ Focused, Step-by-Step Training
- Free content is often scattered and surface-level—this challenge is structured to take you through specific exercises that build real skills in just a few days.
- You won’t waste time figuring out what to do next—it’s all laid out for you!
4️⃣ It’s Designed to Be Actionable (Not Just Another PDF Sitting on Your Computer)
- Many free challenges flood you with information but don’t provide accountability.
- This challenge is designed to get you in the saddle (or do it from the ground) with targeted, practical exercises you can apply immediately—even if you don’t have a Pen obstacle.
5️⃣ A Supportive Community of Like-Minded Riders
- Free challenges often lack real engagement because there’s no investment in creating a valuable experience for participants.
- When you join this challenge, you’re entering a space where others are just as committed as you—meaning better discussions, more encouragement, and shared progress.
6️⃣ You’ll Be Ahead of the Crowd
- Free content is available to everyone but this challenge is for those who are truly ready to level up.
- You’ll be getting focused training that isn’t available in my free content.
Final Thought:
If you’re serious about improving your riding, building your horse’s confidence, and getting expert guidance without the cost of private lessons, then this is the best $20 you’ll ever invest in your horsemanship.
